Niche Bakers Is
Niche Bakers was the first bakery in Canada to initiate zero waste to landfill in 2013. We believe it’s important to protect our water supply by reducing the amount of garbage going to landfill. This also aids in the amount of garbage trucks on the road travelling to landfill sites within province and outside. Here is how it works:
1) Food Waste – 100 % Recycled for Feed and Livestock
2) Recyclable Items – 100 % Recycled ! i.e. paper & cardboard
3) Non Recyclable Items – Are incinerated to create steam. The Steam is used to power electric generators to create electric power back to electric grid.
